Just a Quick Question | $45
Sometimes you don’t need a full consultation. You just need to ask someone who actually knows this stuff.
Maybe you’re wondering whether your pump settings look right. You’ve been prescribed a medication and want to check whether it’s compatible with breastfeeding. You have a scan, procedure or surgery coming up and want to double-check the feeding advice you’ve been given. Or perhaps there’s just one thing playing on your mind and Google is giving you 17 different answers.
Just a Quick Question gives you access to an IBCLC for one straightforward feeding or lactation question, without needing to book a full consultation.
Choose how you'd like your answer
Email | $45
Send me your question and any relevant information, photos or short videos. I’ll review everything and send you a personalised written response, including useful resources or evidence where appropriate.
Phone | $45
Prefer to actually talk it through? Choose the phone option and we’ll have a quick chat about your question. Perfect when explaining the whole thing in an email feels harder than just talking to me.
What could I ask?
It might be:
“I’ve been prescribed this medication. Is it compatible with breastfeeding?”
“I have a CT/MRI/procedure coming up and I’ve been told I need to pump and dump. Is that actually necessary?”
“I’ve been given this feeding advice, but I’m not sure it makes sense for us.”
“Does this sound like normal feeding behaviour?”
“Which pump would suit what I’m trying to do?”
Or something completely different.
If it’s about feeding, lactation, pumping, formula or breastfeeding and you just need someone knowledgeable to help you make sense of it, this option may be all you need.
The quick-question bit matters
This is for one straightforward question that doesn’t require a full feeding assessment.
Sometimes a seemingly simple question uncovers something bigger. If I think I need a full history, need to observe a feed, or there’s more going on than we can safely cover in a quick phone call or email, I’ll tell you.
For questions about medications, imaging or medical procedures, I can review the available lactation information and evidence and help you understand it. This doesn’t replace medical advice from the clinician prescribing your medication or providing your medical care.
Not sure whether your question counts as a quick one? That’s okay. Book it and we can work that out.
